DIY Spice Rack: A Rustic Addition to our Kitchen

There was no stopping me now. I’d made a door. I sought out new projects I could complete all over the house. We decided we needed a big spice rack for our new kitchen. We had the space, we did the cooking, why not?

I wanted to keep the theme of rough, textured wood in the house so as I had some oak off-cuts from the door, I used that. The design was this time taken from an image I’d found on Google and liked. It didn’t have any measurements so we bought some spice jars from Amazon and used their dimensions as a guide.

It’s roughly screwed together and the tricky element was the legs to support it upright. They aren’t perfectly aligned if you looked too closely at the side of the rack but who does that? It’s stable, looks good and we use it almost everyday. Another great addition to our new home and another piece that softens the area it sits in.

Cost: Amazon Jars £22, Rack £0, Total £22
