Revive Your Furniture: Easy DIY Makeover Tips

Now I was on a roll, we thought it’d be a good idea to upgrade the look of some of our existing furniture. We had a gorgeous, chunky, oak sleeper coffee table from our previous house that needed some tlc.

I sanded off the previous finish and stains that had accumulated over the years so I was back to bare wood. I then applied 3 coats of Rustins Danish Oil, allowing it to fully dry in between coats.

Within a few days we had a new table again! I was amazed at how different it looked and an old piece of furniture was now looking perfect again for just the cost of the Danish Oil, £7.50!

As I had some oil left over and the table was a success, I performed the same process on our two Oak drinks stands. Somehow, breathing new life into old furniture gives me a happy feeling!
